Summary/Objective
The human resource project lead ensures that human resource programs support the long-term goals of our client. This position performs professional work of considerable difficulty overseeing a range of administrative functions related to human resource management, employee development and customer service. This position also conducts regular training for employees and supervisors. Must have demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of several related fields, more particular human resources experience, and recognition as a leader.
Minimum/General Experience/Education:
Minimum five (5) years of experience with bachelor’s degree OR minimum of three (3) years of experience with master’s degree
PMP Certification a PLUS!
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a PLUS!
Experience required managing the activities of a group of management, organizational ability to direct multiple activities of a group of management, organizational and business process improvement staff to execute the business plans, developing plans and projects, determining needs, investigating and resolving problems, interfacing with other functions and outside personnel, preparing capital and operating requests, and managing staff.
Should be able to act as senior resource for a specific discipline or function. Ability to organize and direct work, coordinate efforts with other functions, and direct personnel to achieve objectives.
Directly supervises employees. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Responsible for staff development, planning, assigning and directing work. Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Functions

1.Plans, directs and administers various human resource programs.
2.Writes and revises job classification specifications.
3.Develops HR training programs and teaches courses.
4.Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.
5.Develops, reviews and revises program policies and procedures.
6.Provides advice and counsel to department heads, managers and staff on updating and interpreting programs.
7.Represents the department with the board, related agencies and the public.
8.Serves as an acting HR director in that person’s absence.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities, and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
